Objective: To eliminate the Noise & Vibration being transmitted into the structure by the rooftop installed pumps.
Easyflex recently came up with a simple and effective solution to eliminate the noise and vibration caused by Pumps in a rooftop installation in a commercial building in Pune. The pump room was situated on the terrace of the building.The pump room included four primary pumps and four secondary pumps. A concrete foundation was built for the pumps with no measures taken for vibration isolation. As a result, a lot of vibration was transmitted from the pumps on to the structure of the building. Easyflex was contacted by the client to provide a solution for the same.
Therefore, we suggested the use of our Easyflex Brand Closed Spring Viscous Damper which would eliminate the noise and vibrations from the pumps. Detailed engineering calculations were done and a formal engineering report was made as part of the vibration isolator selection process. Our model EFCSD1/200 x 4 nos. was chosen for each pump as they had four mounting points. The selected Easyflex Closed Spring Viscous Damper would bring about a vibration isolation efficiency of 95%.
