About the Award Scheme: The National MSME Awards scheme is the highest accolade in the country for MSMEs, encompassing categories such as product innovation, research and development, quality products, entrepreneurship, and exports. The awards aim to encourage MSMEs to enhance their competitiveness and showcase their outstanding contributions to India’s economic development.
Eligibility for these awards requires MSMEs to have been in continuous production or service for at least the last four years, meeting a qualifying mark of 60% (50% for SC/ST, PH, and NER entrepreneurs). The selection process involves a rigorous evaluation by the National Level Selection Committee (NLSC), ensuring only the most deserving enterprises are honored.
Selection Process: Applications for the awards are submitted online and initially scrutinized by the MSME-Development Institute (MSME-DI) of the respective state. Recommendations are then made by the State Level Selection Committee (SLSC) before final consideration by the National Level Selection Committee (NLSC). The final list of awardees is approved by the Hon’ble Union Minister of MSME.
